February 26th 2009 Boswell to Hugo, OK supercell
The models did not look all that promising in my opinion. The 4km wrf didnt break out precip along the dryline at all. But I was sure cells would fire it would just be after dark. I drove down a few days prior to make a kinda vacation out of it. Stayed with family in the area for a while afterward.
Cells went up just after dark, and quickly became severe. I set up south along the dryline, were I thought things looked a tad bit better. The following images are shot south of Hugo, OK. One problem shooting was all the low cloud matter blocking views of the base. So I continued shooting mostly cloud to cloud lightning, with some cloud to ground shots here and there.

You can see a small rain shaft in the middle of the image illuminated by the lightning!

Bright star atop a supercell to the south.

Below is a video of me and my sister getting cored twice by the boswell hugo cell. It had a three inch hail marker on it for a little while. But we saw only quarters to near golfballs! Thats still pretty big! You can hear in this video. Turn up the volume to really get a feel for how loud it was! We also experienced a wind direction change which only really happens in supercells.
